MOVIES
In 1878, Eadweard Muybridge set up 24 still cameras along a racetrack to capture horses running, and put them together to look like it was a movie camera. This ingenious idea led to the modern day movie camera.
However, the first real movie camera in a single housing was the Kinetograph camera, invented by W.K.L. Dickson and patented in 1891 under the company owned by Thomas Edison. Movie cameras have come a long way since then.
